Dr. Goulden earned her undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Texas at Austin. She received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas in 1998. She also completed a one year fellowship in pediatric neuropsychology at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas. Shortly thereafter she relocated to Alabama and opened a private practice in Mobile in 1999. Dr. Goulden has extensive experience assessing various childhood disorders, including attention problems, learning problems, and autism spectrum disorders. She is trained in the use of the ADOS, the current gold standard of autism diagnosis and she has expertise in helping to differentiate challenging diagnoses. Dr. Goulden works with a wide variety of people (from children to adults) dealing with everyday stressors to more significant problems with depression and anxiety. She enjoys working individually with adults and also with couples and families, including helping parents learn to better manage challenging behaviors.
